The architecture is iconic, the staff was very friendly, and the food was delicious - it blew away expectations. The restaurant's top-notch service started before we even arrived, too, with a friendly phone call to arrange a booking the night before. To top it all off, the price was a surprise - in a good way! It's definitely one of the most affordable options in Leicester city centre, which is surprising given the excellent quality, location, and atmosphere.
Amazing food, service & atmosphere. We had our works Christmas meal here yesterday and it was perfect. The food was delicious (and the mulled wine), and the staff were so friendly & helpful. We’re already talking about booking for next year!!
Came here on a whim with colleagues. Lovely small English pub with cosy inviting corners. I was in town for a work event. The atmosphere was lovely inside, I loved the doggy beer corner even though my dog wasn't with me. The menu is easy to navigate as I have food intolerances and it was easy for me to make a selection as vegan, gluten free options easily identifiable with their coding system. Food was divine! Service friendly and personable. I hope to be back again soon.
Surprised my parents with the Monday meal deal of fish and chips and a drunk of choice. They were very impressed with the quality and portion sizes. They lived the history and decor of the building and found the staff very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again.

Found this place on an overnight stay in Leicester. Hugely impressed. Very old building, apparently the oldest standing in the city, converted into a pub and restaurant. Absolutely gorgeous inside. Quirky decor, very cosy on a cold night. Food fabulous. Staff so friendly. Next time I visit Leicester I will be coming back here.
